Contractor bidding for industrial real estate, without the email chain.
BuildIt connects brokers, tenants, and general contractors in one place to source, negotiate, and award pre-lease building improvement work — layout changes, racking, conveyors, and structural work.
Broker access is currently limited to approved brokerage domains, including CBRE, Colliers, and Avison Young.
How it works
Four stages, from listing to award — all tracked in one place instead of a dozen email threads.
STEP 1
Publish the listing
Broker adds photos, drawings, and the job list — racking, conveyors, layout changes — and associates a buyer.
STEP 2
Admit contractors
Any contractor can request to bid. The broker picks a fixed number of slots to admit for private threads.
STEP 3
Bid in private threads
Each admitted contractor gets an isolated thread with the broker and the anonymous buyer to ask questions and submit a formal quote.
STEP 4
Award & complete
Broker selects a winner; buyer and broker both accept the work order and confirm completion before it closes.
One platform, three portals
Every role gets a purpose-built workspace — no one sees more than their role should.
Contractors never see who the buyer is.
Across listings, chat, ratings, and quote acceptance, the buyer appears only as “Anonymous Buyer” to contractors — and as “Buyer for Listing X” in ratings. Their identity is enforced end to end, not just hidden in the UI.
- Buyer identity never reaches a contractor-facing screen or API response
- Anonymous, per-listing ratings for the broker and the winning contractor
- The broker still knows the buyer — anonymity is strictly contractor-facing
